Sunday, May 3rd at the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church

3:30 – 5:30 pm – Memorial Celebration inside Church
After 5:30 pm – Please bring your poems, stories and photos to share after 5:30 on the ‘Open Mic’.
Paid parking should be available across the street from the Church.
If you have digital photos, please email them as soon as you can to Niklas at: nandersson@sbcglobal.net
Please bring a flower if you’d like, and share it with another visitor at the end of the ceremony. Also, if you wish, please bring an altar offering, and then take it home with you at the end of the ceremony.
There will be appetizers and sweets following the formal service at 5:30 pm. We have had requests to bring food. While nothing is expected, Kathleen always appreciated a good potluck! Please bring finger food for easy serving.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to any of 3 organizations.

3) DeLaveaga Elementary School, where Kathleen helped pioneer the Dual Immersion program. The funds will be used to create a Kathleen Flowers Poetry Section in the library for the children, and also plant a nectarine tree.

 This is Kathleen’s brother Brian and his lovely wife Meg, and their beautiful daughter Breegan.  Brian and Meg are to be given credit for this blog site and Kathleen enjoys walking down to the computer area with ‘R2D2’ (as she calls her IV stand) and reading your wonderful comments and seeing the pictures.

Kathleen is scheduled to have a PET scan on Monday. A PET scan is a heat sensitive diagnostic tool, that can show cancer as heat on the display.  She is scheduled to go into surgery on Wednesday.
